Each year, PQA’s fundraising/philanthropic efforts culminate with our holiday Give Back campaign. We select families in need in Fredericton whom are nominated by our staff and collect holiday packages for them that include clothing, food supplies and gifts. This year, PQA is supporting 5 new families.

The Give Back campaign was started in 2005 and has supported 20 families and raised over $20,000 since its inception. 2011 marks a new twist to this staff favorite activity. PQA wishes to have families…be families! We are putting an emphasis on games that can be played together as a gift.

Another twist this year has to do with the fundraising activities. Over the years, PQA staff has amassed funds for this initiative by way of silent auctions, kitchen parties, 50/50 draws and raffles. We are now adding a donation in lieu of sending paper cards to our clients and partners. PQA is donating $1.00 for every e-card sent during this holiday season!

The NextGen NB Awards recognize New Brunswick employers who make a conscious effort to recruit and retain youth to their organization and who place emphasis on a healthy workplace environment.

The finalists were reviewed by a panel of NextGen NB members from all over the province.  Each nominee was judged upon their corporate efforts in the following areas: Workplace Culture, Lifestyle Balance and Opportunities for Personal Growth.

May 20, 2011 - Professional Quality Assurance Ltd. (PQA) is proud to announce that, for the 5^th consecutive year, it will be a Platinum Partner of Fredericton’s Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.

‘Harvest’, as it is known locally, has been bringing people to the Fredericton area for music, dancing and entertainment every year since 1991. Promoting the love and rich cultural appeal of jazz and blues to musicians and music lovers alike, this festival celebrates local and international performers, super-saturating the City of Fredericton with jazz, blues, funk and soul for six incredible days every September.

“As a fan and partner of the Harvest, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to assist in making the festival possible,” said Keith McIntosh, CEO of PQA. “We look forward to the positive economic impact of the event and of course taking in some of the amazing talent. This is a week not to be missed.”

Artists are scheduled to grace the stages from Tuesday, September 13^th to Sunday, September 18^th, 2011 with events in the Barracks Tent, including Rock, Roarin’ and Reggae, Keepers of Flame, and Spread the Joy being sponsored by PQA.
