Test Automation Specialist - All Locations

Description

As a test automation specialist at PQA, you will be involved in many phases of the software lifecycle, working closely with the development team from concept to completion. As part of our team, you will be working on leading edge software development projects to provide our customers with innovative testing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and configure automation test environments to meet requirements
  • Develop automation test frameworks using QTP (Quick Test Pro) or other commercial tools
  • Assist with the detailed analysis and interpretation of results to help identify and isolate issues
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test scripts to support test execution activities, as well as scripts to create and manage test data
  • Identify and document defects encountered during test execution activities utilizing defect tracking tools
  • Develop, test and maintain in-house testing tools / harness(es)

Key Requirements

  • University degree or College diploma in a related discipline
  • 2-5 years of experience developing automated testing solutions using Quick Test Professional or other commercial tools
  • Experience implementing and configuring test environments
  • Experience using open source and commercial test management / test execution tools
  • Experience developing automation test frameworks and tools
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, as well as software testing fundamentals and best practices
  • Working knowledge of SQL
