Description
As a test architect at PQA, you will be involved in many phases of the software lifecycle, working closely with the development team from concept to completion. As part of our client facing team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and direction to the testing organization while at the same time staying abreast of any new trends.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction
- Provide technical direction and support in the review of requirements and technical design; assessment of requirements for testability; identification, definition and design of test architectures, environments and solutions
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in systems development and release activities to help achieve overall quality objectives
- Drive organization-wide quality process initiatives and their implementation to ensure quality of deliverables
- Prepare for and deliver training to team members
- Define standards and processes related to tool usage
- Stay abreast of new trends in 'testing technologies/tools' and introduce them into the organization
- Prepare test strategies / plans, as well as implementation and execution of same
- Conduct project audits from an overall quality control perspective
- Provide subject matter expertise in several of PQAs service offerings - speaks effectively and delivers effective presentations to customers
Key Attributes
- 10+ years of testing and test management experience over multiple projects and with teams of up to 10 or more testers
- Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering; or substantial and diverse software testing experience
- Experience providing technical leadership and strategic direction and driving quality process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle, as well as software testing fundamentals and testing approaches
- Experience with many of the leading commercial and open source test automation tools and scripting and development languages
