Role Description:
As a SAP Quality Assurance Consultant at PQA Ltd., you will be involved in many phases of the software lifecycle, working closely with the development team from concept to completion. Your work will primarily, if not exclusively, focus on applying QA methodologies on SAP software. As part of our team, you will be working on leading edge SAP to provide our clients with innovative solutions.
General Responsibilities:
· Extract testing requirements from functional specifications and business requirements
· Write test plans and test cases from functional specifications and from using the product
· Perform structured and context-driven (formal and ad-hoc) functional software testing
· Produce documentation to support testing activities including test scripts/matrices and test data
· Use defect tracking and test case management system(s) to document test cases, record defects and record test case execution results
· Work directly with the clients to triage defects
· Assist in training new team members and reviewing the quality of work prepared by more junior team members
Key Requirements:
· 2 – 5 years demonstrated experience as a Software Tester with at least 2 ears testing SAP applications
· Demonstrated experience extracting test requirements, writing test plans and writing test cases
· Demonstrated knowledge of the software lifecycle
· Demonstrated high level of accountability and personal responsibility leading to the success of projects
· Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred
· Test automation, performance testing and/or security testing experience would be considered an asset
Key Competencies:
· Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and propose practical solutions
· Flexibility, self-motivation and the ability to give and receive feedback at all levels are required
· Strong management, interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to navigate and work through challenges with a positive attitude
· Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
· Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
