Media Developer - Fredericton

Role Description:

The Media Developer is part of the e-Learning production team n the development of state of the art e-Learning courseware and media development.  You will be part of a team that is responsible for the design of exceptional e-learning courses for our clients.  You will work directly with Instructional Designers (IDs), Graphic Designers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other Media Developers.

 

General Responsibilities:

·         Work with local and dispersed remote teams in the design, development and delivery of e-Learning solutions

·         Contribute to brainstorming sessions to identify solutions to e-Learning requirements

·         Develop and deploy custom courseware for various clients using a variety of tools, technologies and processes as required

·         Modify, maintain and create templates for courseware engines, content pages and assets, including support documentation

·         Conduct self-verification and peer reviews using checklists and resolve incidents from internal and external reviews

·         Manage day-to-day activities to ensure that timelines, deliverables and budget for projects are met

·         Work with Project Manager to provide work effort estimates and status updates around project deliverables

·         Promote and practice company values in the leadership of staff and in the nurturing of a creative, innovative and enjoyable work environment

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Key Requirements:

·         Experience as a web developer on web-based learning projects

·         Degree or diploma in Programming/Development or another related field, considered an asset

·         Excellent communication, analytical, writing and visualization skills

·         Focused on quality and attentive to detail

·         Ability to collaborate with teams as well as work independently

·         Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment as priorities change and while meeting deadlines

·         Actively seek work assignments and strive to contribute to improvement of media development practices as well as own professional skills

·         High level of proficiently in Adobe Flash (MX2004 or above), ActionScript (2.0 or above), HTML/XHTML/XML, JavaScript and CSS required.

·         Experience with other courseware authoring tools (Articulate Presenter, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Authorware) considered assets

·         Experience in audio (voice) and video production and/or editing considered assets

·         Experience with Web standards, specifically: SCORM, AICC, W3C and deployment to Learning Management Systems considered assets

·         Proficiency with MS Office, email and other basic PC applications

·         Proven ability to learn new business and technical content quickly
