This paper provides an explanation of screencasting technology and how it can be used by testers to improve software testing. Screencasts are short videos that capture a users’ interaction with software as seen on the computer screen. Attaching screencasts to defect reports allows testers to communicate reproduction steps faster and more effectively, reducing the number of cycles that are spent on communication with developers.
